Your recruitment plan will cover everything from outreach on campus through accepting the new members to your chapter. This includes your recruitment strategies such as tabling and info sessions, outlining your application process, interview timeline and deciding who will be part of your new member class. You must submit your recruitment plan along with any slide shows you plan to use.
Chapters must use the Application Process on the President Portal. The application process can just be the required questions that are provided, or you can add up to 3 questions of your choice. Depending on the amount of applicants you receive, and the level of selectiveness, you may want to hold professional interviews with these candidates to ensure they are the right members for your new chapter.
You are required to recruit a minimum of 25 general members to your TAMID chapter. Having general members is extremely important to the success of the chapter because you need to have members to participate in events, come to education meetings, and most importantly form teams and present final deliverables for consulting and fund. Once accepted, you will need to update your roster with your new member's information.
Due: February 11, 11:59 pm EST
Due: March 10, 11:59 pm EST
Aim for a high volume of applications so you can select high-quality members. TAMID chapters tend to stay smaller and more exclusive to maintain high standards. The minimum requirement is a number that is felt to promote chapter success if recruitment is done thoughtfully and intentionally. You should aim to recruit members who will be actively engaged and contribute to your chapter.
Reach out to other clubs that members are in to recruit, look to see where any current consulting clubs on campus recruit from. If there are no consulting clubs on your campus, then advertise in the business school. Business fraternities, business clubs, finance clubs, the business school itself, and many other student organizations are a great starting point for finding members.
It is best to have most members recruited before you start the education sessions. While it is helpful to finish recruitment early enough that the new members are involved in TAMID for a majority of the semester, we understand that recruitment can sometimes be difficult and you might need to keep recruitment open a bit longer. Remember you must recruit a minimum of 25 new members.
