Jared was born in Mountain View, CA and grew up in Orange County. Jared attended USC starting in 2010, pursuing a B.S Mechanical Engineering and B.S. Economics-Mathemtics, as well as a minor in computer science. Led an Air Force-funded research effort for three years focused on improving combustion efficiency in internal combustion engines. Founded TAMID at USC in 2012 and co-founded the National Board (presidents council and operating board) with Dan Smith six months later. Served as national chairman for almost three years, focused on curriculum development, fundraising, fellowship growth, chapter expansion, rebranding, and staff hiring and development. Began interning with UpWest Labs in summer 2014 and ultimately left USC before graduating to work with them full time as a Venture Associate in Tel Aviv. Sourced more than 35 investments during that time. Two years later, Jared joined Neura (an UpWest portfolio company) as Head of Business Development. Living in IL for 2.5 years.
