Israel Connection Project

Creatively Connecting to Israeli Culture

For the Fall 2024 semester, TAMID is introducing the Israel Connection Creative Project. The goal of this project is for students to learn and connect to Israel in fun and creative ways. This project should be completed after the Israel focused section of your Education Program. The guidelines for the project can be found below:

Overview

Students should choose one of the following questions to answer:

  • Why is the Israeli startup ecosystem so effective?
  • How has learning about Israel/the Israeli Startup ecosystem positively affected you?
  • What is your favorite part of Israeli culture and why?  What are its origins?

After choosing one of these questions, students should think of a fun and creative way to present their answers. This means the answer should not be in the form of a written paper or powerpoint presentation.

Students should supplement their project with at least one-page of background research, but this should act as a foundation for their project, not the project itself. The project should also include details on at least 3 of the 5 competencies discussed in the education slides and how they connect to your topic.

Your chapter’s best/favorite project should be submitted to TAMID Global to compete against other TAMID Chapters by December 15th.

Examples

Examples of projects can be found below:

Other examples of project ideas are:

  • Video Project
  • Song/Rap
  • Jeopardy-Style Game
  • Podcast-Style Presentation

* Students can choose to simply do a paper/powerpoint, though it is discouraged

Project Guidelines

  • The projects should be 3-5 minutes long.
  • Each team member must participate equally in the project.
  • Each project should incorporate 3 of the 5 Cultural Competencies.
  • The project should seek to answer the chosen question as fully, and creatively, as possible.
  • Background resources should have sources cited clearly (the format doesn’t matter).
  • Each project will be judged on how well it answers the question, as well as the overall creativity of the project.
    • The goal of this project is having fun and being creative, so don’t worry too much about making everything perfect in your project itself! A few editing mistakes won’t count against you.
