TAMID at Yeshiva University

Name: Adam Wannon
University: Yeshiva University
Graduating Year: 2017
Major (+Minor): Computer Science (+Finance)
Internship Company: Elevator Fund
Internship Role: Business Development Intern
Awesome Experience: This summer I am interning at Elevator fund, an Israeli based VC firm that primarily focuses on early-stage Israeli companies in the media, fintech, and medical sectors. My primary responsibilities as an intern are two fold. First is to assist with deal flow. To this end, I am required to engage in expensive company analysis including but not limited to analyzing a company’s business plan, competitive landscape, team, and product. My second responsibility is to create, design and manage a Dashboard. In doing so I was required to think creatively, analytically, and use company metrics to design an effective Dashboard. The Dashboard I created is currently being used to update investors on my company’s current progress and show potential investors just how fast they are growing!
Fun Fact: I have four younger sisters.

Name: Levi Saada
University: Yeshiva University
Graduating Year: 2018
Major (+Minor): Finance
Internship Company: PwC
Internship Role: Consultant
Awesome Experience: Israel is my favorite place in the world and it has been an absolute privilege to not only be working at one of the best firms in Tel Aviv, but also to be able to rub shoulders with 119 other student leaders that are so intelligent and motivated. As a result, I will be able to return back to my chapter with my experiences and share them with other TAMID members looking to learn and achieve. This is the essence of leadership. And so, regardless of the leadership capacity I choose or am allowed to take on, I intend on using my experiences and acquired skills to educate aspiring TAMID members through interaction. I will seek to furnish opportunities for TAMID members to learn about leadership and dynamism in the world of business itself, rather than in the classroom. A national network of fellows has enabled me to collect and refine best practices used around the country, and I will ideally apply those methods for practical use at Yeshiva University,

Graduating Year: 2018
Major (+Minor): Finance (+ Business Intelligence Marketing Analytics)
Internship Company: Deloitte
Internship Role: FAS Analyst – Valuation Team
Awesome Experience: The fellowship has truly been an amazing and unique experience for me on so many levels. As a result of the mix of an incredible internship experience, fun social and business events, a remarkable group of 120 TAMID members and simply being in Israel, I have had the best summer of my life.
At Deloitte, I have worked on projects in the valuation department that will certainly prepare me for future employment. Working in the same office space as several TAMID members has been an added bonus. An event that I particularly enjoyed was a presentation at Innovation Endeavors, a VC firm funded by the former CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt, where I learned more about the firm, the Israeli economy, and the VC industry as a whole. I have also had many opportunities to explore Israel with new friends, whether it be through grabbing dinner or while on weekend trips. And of course, going to the beach several times a week has been fantastic.
Fun Fact: I spent a year and a half in Israel before college.

Major (+Minor): Economics (+Statistics)
Internship Company: iAngels
Internship Role: Analyst for the InvestmentsTeam
Awesome Experience: I’ve been working on market research for different tech sectors in Israel (Video Tech, Education Tech, etc.) and identifying the prevailing trends in each sector. I’ve also been helping out with due diligence, which is the process through which iAngels research prospective investments, and ultimately, decide if they want to invest. My biggest takeaway from this internship has been all that I’ve learned about Venture Capital. Through my research and day-to-day tasks in the office, I’ve learned a ton about VC and what to look for when investing. As an aspiring Venture Capitalist, I feel that this newly acquired knowledge will serve me well in future internships and later on in my career.
