TAMID at Maryland
Hello from TAMID Group at Maryland, This semester we are pleased to share exciting news regar...
TAMID Tech Consulting connects Israeli companies with computer-science students to provide software development work. Teams of 4-8 students, led by a Project Manager, work together (remotely) on their university campus. These students are in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of university in mostly Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science majors. Teams work roughly 3 hours a week, after school, applying research and creative problem-solving skills to deliver solutions.
Students will work with the company, check in on a biweekly basis with status reports, and present the final deliverables to the company at the conclusion of the project. These students are in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of university studying Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science.
Our students know a variety of languages. Previously, students worked with Angular (HTML, CSS, Typescript) but most of our students know some combination of Java or Python through their Computer Science classes. Every leader of the Tech Track at a chapter level has a strong knowledge of full-stack development.
The students and the company will be matched via a set of questions focused on their technical skills. Students can find a company that has a project that matches their skills, and you will have the option of interviewing the student before deciding if you want to work with them.
Our students can work on:
• Prototype development
• API development
• Mobile/Web apps
• DevOps Piplines
• UI/UX design
• Data Analytics
• and more!
Students are expected to work approximately 3-5 hours per week per student.
Create your company profile and upload an internship opportunity (or multiple) and a member of our Company Relations Team will be in touch with you.
"The team was a group of young motivated talented students with ambition for their studies and practical experience for the future. I liked the eagerness. The project manager was just excellent- very organized with meeting times and leading the group and information collected, very attentive and quick to understand and implement my guidance, caught on quickly the spirit and ways of leading the team for better results when we encountered challenges or pivoting, and a smart ambitious person."
Netta Markish,"Really enjoyed working with this team! Really felt like it was a win-win."
Daniel Frankenstein,"Working with TAMID students is always a privilege and a smart decision for any business, regardless of its size, stage, or industry."
Idan Meir,"We’ve been working with TAMID Group since 2017 and across two chapters. We’ve gained continuous value from working with the groups, and we are actively using many of the outputs for our day-to-day."
Roy Kirshon,"We had a chance to work with a highly motivated team that came up with fresh ideas. Our project manager, was great to work with, patient, and enthusiastic. As a whole, the team did a meaningful job for us."
Rony Kowalski,"We learned that young minds can be very curious, and this curiosity is an asset to any company because it drives discovery. We had all of these teams run with their imaginations, which are unbounded, and this is how we found new paths that can lead to success."
